The South of the River tour showcases a range of eateries in Wapping Wharf - Bristol's newest food lovers paradise - before heading over the river to explore Southville.

Just a note: Our tours are subject to change due to business' availability on the day of the tour, so what's listed below is a general idea of the kinds of foods you might get to try...

First, we'll take you to some of our favourite independents at Bristol's hottest foodie hub. We'll share their business stories and of course some first-rate food, plus a little about the history of the area before Wapping Wharf was built as an important connection between the city centre and Southville. We'll then take you on a stroll South of the River to explore some excellent independents along North Street.

The tour includes stop-offs and delectable samples from several different places, from wonderful local cheeses to vibrant Indian dishes; scrummy seasonal sourdough pizzas to hand made artisanal chocolate truffles

This is a great chance to try a handful of places in one go - and pick your guide's brains for where to go for dinner! You'll also learn some interesting historical facts about this area of South Bristol, and take in some impressive graffiti as the tour route runs through the streets where Upfest Graffiti Festival takes place each summer.

What our tour guests say...

"I treated my husband to the south of the river tour for his birthday after a friend recommended it. It was more amazing than we could have imagined! We had a beautifully sunny day and a lovely group of like minded foodies as company..... the foods we ate were all absolutely delicious, from independent businesses. We had THE best pizza, ice cream, cheese, Indian foods, breads, chocolate and cake to die for. Sophie our tour guide was really lovely and knowledgeable. We don’t live in Bristol but really love it and are already planning a return visit in 2 weeks time to re-visit some of the places we ate at, especially Ahh Toots for their amazing cake. Thank you so much, we’ll be back to do another tour soon"

"I attended the South of the River tour which I loved. The food was absolutely delicious. I was worried that it was going to be too much food but by the end I was satisfied but not overly full. I won't spoil what food was on the tour but the tour was accommodating to some of the other attendees with dietary requirements.
The tour was a small group of 8 people plus the guide. I attended the tour on my own. The size of the group felt very intimate and I got to meet a fun group of people that I might not have been able to with a bigger group.
Jo, our guide, was really knowledgeable about all the food and very friendly.

I would definitely go back again for one of their other tours"

"My daughter treated me and my wife to this culinary exploration of Bristol's Wapping Wharf and South of the River.
What a fantastic day out and the local food we tried was just amazing.
